Field trip to a corpse.

Yesterday I took my first field trip to Branson. It was taking some eighth graders to The Bodies exhibit. It was pretty interesting. If you aren't familiar with this museum it's basically human anatomy displayed with real cadavers and body parts. The amazing thing is the skin is removed and you can see all the muscles, tendons, nerves, and bones all still intact. There was a part where they had the enitre blood circulatory system of a human. It had all the viens and ateries but nothing else left of that particular body. Imagine all the models of the insides of humans you see at the doctors office, except that these models are made from real people who donated their bodies to science. They had examples of different cancers, blackened lungs, and other various diseases. They also had humans laid out where they had been thinly sliced and then displayed with each slice in the right order. A cross section view of the human body. I was glad that I ate before the museum.
I learned just how complex and fragile the human body really is. It coincides with the changes that I have recently made in my life.

Tonight Apnea has a show. I am visualizing it being a good show. We are definitely ready to play out. We haven't played out since April. So if you can make it out do so. It's at The Outland Ballroom.
