Christmas and all that fun stuff II

Well this holiday season is almost at an end. We have New Year's and my birthday left.Christmas I got some interesting things. My Mom got me one of those junk mail shredders from hell. The kind where you don't even have to open the mail. It will even shred cds! This thing kicks ass. My wife got me the Tranformers movie, a cd, and some jeans. Alicia got me a Tranformers calender, Rowan got me a light up candle, and my son got me a small can of Folger's coffee. (Smart boy I have raised).Evidently though I have been a bad boy in Santa's eyes because this year I did not get that new F150 with a new riding mower sitting in the back that I asked for. Oh well. My kids score well every year and they are content. The most interesting of their stuff from Grandma is a video game that is hooked up to a childsize exercise bike. The kids can ride the "bike" on a course that is displayed on the TV screen. At the risk of sounding old, back in my day this video game was called "riding your bike" and required the child to take the bicycle outside for what was at the time the most realistic visions of trees and such. This thing reminds me of one of those driving simulators I drove in Driver's Ed. It will be good practice for them I guess and I didn't spend the money on it so why not. It will be perfect for them when they are cooped up inside all day because of the weather. For New Year's we plan on going to Robbie's house. Nothing special planned except more eating and drinking. My birthday this year will suck because I will have to work on that day. Maybe we will do a celebration on another weekend. Those who know me have seen some of our "my birthday" celebrations and knows they can be pretty fun. I hope everyone is doing well and surviving this holiday season.
